AgentSomm collects minimal data:
- Analytics data: Standard web analytics (page views, referral sources) via Google Analytics, if configured. This data is aggregated and not personally identifiable.
- API usage: We log API requests (endpoint, timestamp, IP address) for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
- Age confirmation: A local browser flag indicating you have confirmed legal drinking age. This is stored in your browser only and is not transmitted to our servers.
2. What We Do Not Collect
We do not collect names, email addresses, payment information, or personal taste profiles through the website. We do not use tracking cookies beyond analytics. We do not sell or share personal data with third parties.
3. Affiliate Links
When you click an affiliate link to a retail partner (e.g., Wine.com), you leave AgentSomm and are subject to that retailer’s privacy policy. We do not receive personal information about your purchases — only aggregate conversion data (number of sales, commission earned).
4. Cookies
AgentSomm uses:
- Essential: Age confirmation flag (localStorage)
- Analytics: Google Analytics cookies (if GA4 is configured)
No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used.
5. Data Retention
API logs are retained for 90 days, then deleted. Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics default settings.
6. Your Rights
You may clear your browser’s cookies and localStorage at any time to remove any data stored by AgentSomm. For EU/EEA visitors: we process minimal data under legitimate interest. You have the right to request deletion of any personal data we may hold — contact us via GitHub.
7. Children
AgentSomm is not intended for anyone under the legal drinking age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
